Use the manufacturer-assigned identifier

Enter the GTIN or barcode assigned to the exact sellable variant. Do not generate a value, copy one from a different variant, or use a store SKU as a GTIN.

When no GTIN exists

• Provide brand and MPN when the manufacturer uses an MPN.
• Use the appropriate identifier-exists behavior only when the product genuinely has no assigned unique product identifier.
• Review Google’s product data rules for the product category before submitting.
